Reprise Jackie Kennedy’s world-class sophistication with these wide-frame Iconic Sunglasses. She is reputed to have kept multiple pairs of sunglasses in a basket by her door to grab just before going out. Ours have UV400 lenses.

Museum Provenance
So extraordinary, the world still knows her by her first name. So stylish, her fashion choices—oversized sunglasses, glass pearls, statement jewelry, a simple tank watch—are as on-trend today as in the heyday of Camelot. Many of Jackie’s personal items, including gowns and her signature faux pearls, are part of The First Ladies, an exhibit at the National Museum of American History.
Every Smithsonian purchase will arrive with a museum provenance card explaining how it is adapted from or inspired by an object or objects in our collection.
They are very attractive, and YES...iconic. But, they are very dark, probably good for beach or just outdoor glare. Very, very light, NO substance, and cheap. I will keep them "You get what you pay for." and leave them in the car for days when it's really bright.
Seems like the Smithsonian could offer a better quality for more money.

I bought these sunglasses for a friend who is a Jackie O fan. I was very disappointed in their presentation. The sunglasses did not come with a case. Instead, they were wrapped in a piece of torn-off bubble wrap. And, there wasn't any explanation with them -- how they were styled after Jackie's look, etc. When I gave them to my friend, I included a copy of the page from the the catalog. These things made the gift lose its "specialness" in my eyes.

I love the understated elegance of these glasses. No glitzy rhinestones or show off designer initials. The frame is really comfortable and the lens reduce glare and provide UV protection. I mostly use sunglasses for driving or whenever the sun is blinding me. I bought 2 pairs so I will have a spare. Pricing is perfect!
