I was looking for a tie that was NOT like all of the cookie-cutter, 'candy-cane' striped ties that have become so prevalent (and have dumbed down fashion for men in the process), something distinctive yet stylish, tastefull and not garish. Something that I will be able to wear at work as well as out and about. And something that reflects my tastes on more than a simple 'visual' level (and quality certainly helps!).
I feel that this certainly fits the bill.
