Museum Provenance

Can genuine jade be red, lavender, black or white? In a word, yes, as eloquently evidenced by our lovely multi-hued Jade collections—the objects we offer you here, as well as the jade displayed at our National Museum of Natural History. Though green has historically been the most prized color, many jade treasures (including our museum’s own carved lavender Jade Dragon Vase) showcase other colors of this spectacular gem.
