Museum Provenance
The most comprehensive exhibition in the nation devoted to a global view of the ocean, the 80,000 specimens in our Sant Ocean Hall include precise replicas of a 45-foot-long North Atlantic Right Whale named Phoenix and a giant squid so rare, it was first photographed in 2004. The elegant gifts and accessories in this collection are inspired both by the Natural History Museum’s Sant Ocean Hall and its National Gem and Mineral Collection.
