Just like the real killer whales that swim in all the oceans of the world, Plush Stuffed Orin Orca is all black with a white underbelly and white above the eyes. Unlike real orcas, this cuddly, plush stuffed killer whale does not have any sharp teeth. Instead of hunting prey, plump Plush Stuffed Orin Orca would rather have hugs, happiness and satisfying make-believe swims. Ready to cuddle in your home, Plush Stuffed Orin Orca the Killer Whale is crafted with high quality, kid-safe materials—soft plush exterior; polyester fiber interior; lock washer eyes—that meet or exceed all U.S. safety standards. Surface-washable. Imported. Ages 3 and up.  20"l. x 9"w. x 6"h.

Museum Provenance

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History Marine Mammal program is a cooperative research program that focuses on whales, dolphins, porpoises, seals and sea lions. Mammals, which include human beings, are one class of warm-blooded vertebrate animals that have evolved and adapted to our planet. The Kenneth E. Behring Family Hall of Mammals at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History explores the diversity of some 274 mammals and how they originated and adapted to changing landscapes and environments over the last 225 million years.

Every Smithsonian purchase will arrive with a museum provenance card explaining how it is adapted from or inspired by an object or objects in our collection.
