The workmanship is fine. but even my little daughter can tell that it is not real ruby, as the reflection is darker, expecially the center part. At such a price, it should be made with crystal rather than glass, in order to achieve better reflection. I would wear it to match my clothing, but not in formal occasions for this reason.

I bought this on an impulse, and I'm glad I did. The ring looks much better in person than in the photo -- just the right size for my hand to make a statement without being gaudy. I haven't had occasion to wear it yet (it's for dressier occasions), but I sometimes put it on just to admire how it flatters my hand.
