Description

Quilts are some of the most beloved items in the Home and Community Life collections of the National Museum of American History. Perhaps it's because they remind us of a favorite homemade blanket or because they spark our own crafty instincts.

This 100% silk scarf in classic holiday colors with a traditional 8-pointed star motif is a wonderful way to combine the homemade spirit of the season with a nod to the story of the Star of Bethlehem. It brings the homespun imagery of a quilted scarf to the sophisticated feel of pure silk.

Museum Story

The Costume Collection at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History, Behring Center, contains over 30,000 garments and accessories representing the changing appearance of Americans from the 17th century to the present.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 Beautiful fabric and print!

I bought this scarf as a gift for a friend and mentor who is an avid quilter. The fabric is soft and the colors are vibrant. This is a lovely scarf with the quality expected of an Echo scarf. While it makes a great gift for a person who loves quilts, I think anyone would appreciate this scarf!
